The uprising of the Macao gambling market seems to have reached its climax and is now experiencing an economic slowdown on the revenue generated by casino games which has been estimated in approximately 10% in the third quarter of 2008.
In the near future, Macao will have the challenge of facing the difficulty that the small and medium sized companies will have to survive competing with the powerful gambling and tourism industries. This observation has been presented in a report made by Economist Intelligence.
