With the objective of contributing to healthy recreation activities and young people’s mental health, the council board of the city of Ilobasco has refused to give permission to the owners of the different businesses that have asked them for a permit in order to be able to use slot machines.

Also, there have been some machines, which were in violation of the norm, that have been seized. With the backup of the mentioned provision, the municipal head Jose Maria Dimas Castellanos has ordered the seizure of over 100 machines that were operating without the proper authorization.

The seizing was made effective in shopping malls, little business and some particular houses of some communities. The machines can be taken back once the owner has paid off the $54.14 for each one of them. In case of a second seizure, then the machine will not be returned.
