The winter season is about to begin, and the Casino Las Leñas, which happens to be the first private casino in Argentina, operated by Austria International Casinos, celebrated its twentieth anniversary.

This is the highest located casino in the world (2,300 meters over the sea) and it has 13 table games and 26 slot machines. Situated in the Piscis Hotel, it became a reference regionally as well as internationally. In fact, its croupier courses trained many professionals, including directors of high-level gaming rooms such us Conrad Punta del Este, Buenos Aires Casino, and the Lucerna Casino in Switzerland.

Casinos Austria International, specialized in consulting, development and administration of casinos, also controls Enjasa, manager of chance games and all the casinos in the entire province of Salta. In a world level, the group operates 76 casinos (12 in Austria, 13 onboard cruises and 51 in another 18 countries) that offer 1,100 table games and 10,800 slot machines. Together they received about 19 million visitors in 2006 and they have a staff of 10,545 employees.

Besides its current 76 venues, Casinos Austria International is currently working on the development of new projects in Chile and South Africa. In 2006, the successful casino operator and its main branch, Casinos Austria AG, had record incomes of 1.26 billion euros.
