The British online gambling company 888 Holdings has confirmed that it is negotiating an alliance with a third party, after the United States prohibited gambling through Internet last September.
It appears that this online gambling company 888 Holdings, might have had preliminary conversations for a possible fuse with its rival PartyGaming, with which it would create a group of 1,600 million pounds (3,000 million dollars).
An 888 spokesperson has admitted “several preliminary conversations with third parties after the suspension of its activities in the United States”, however, he added that there is nothing sure about the negotiations ending up in an offer of the company or in any other measure.
Since the law that prohibits gambling on Internet was approved in the United States at the beginning of last month, the companies in this area have lost about 7,000 million dollars in market value.
